Ms. Porter brings over 26 years of courtroom experience to
the practice of Family Law. She takes on difficult cases in
matters of Child Custody, Access and Government Apprehension.
Born and raised in Montreal, Ms. Porter graduated from McGill
Law School in 1975. Since that time she has devoted her practice
to the field of Family Law, including Divorce, Separation,
Custody, Access, Maintenance, Property Division and Child
Apprehension cases. Being raised in a multi cultural setting
has provided Ms. Porter with a great deal of exposure to many
different races, religions, cultures and socio economic groups.
This has allowed her to develop sensitivity and insight into
a variety of human experiences and problems.
Ms. Porter has represented clients who have moved on to such
places as the Phillipines, Germany, Poland and various Provinces
throughout Canada and the United States. She was able to complete
their legal matters and provide the necessary legal documents
to these clients even after their move from British Columbia.
Being raised in Montreal, Ms. Porter has a proficiency in
the French Language as well as some familiarity with the Polish
language. As she enters her 27th year of practice, Ms. Porter
derives great satisfaction through sharing her experience
and providing her clients with well-tested legal advice. Her
main focus is to ensure that YOUR concerns are heard, understood
and expressed when you run into legal difficulties, especially
when these difficulties involve your ability to care for yourself
and your children.
