Mr. Livingston is active in the legal community. He has recently
held the positions of vice chair and secretary of the Young
Lawyers Subsection of the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian
Bar Association. While still in Law school Mr. Livingston
won both the McIntyre and the Sopinka cups in the western
Canada and Canadian national trial advocacy competitions respectively.
He also won the Davis & Company Shield and the J.D.S.
Tory prizes in advocacy. Mr. Livingston received The Founders'
Committee Graduation Award in Law for building relations with
faculty and the local bar. He served two terms as Vice President
External of the Law Students Society at UVIC.
After graduation from law school, Mr. Livingston articled
with the litigation department of a local law firm, where
he primarily worked on complex commercial litigation and defending
solicitors negligence claims.
Mr. Livingston is a valuable member of the criminal appeals
team at McCullough Parsons Blazina and is currently involved
in several Dangerous Offender Appeals. When he is not in the
courtroom or the law library, Mr. Livingston enjoys camping,
hiking, food and wine.
