Mr. Dieno has successfully defended and had clients acquitted
in both the Supreme and Provincial Courts in British Columbia
of serious charges such as Aggravated Assault, Attempted Murder,
Sexual Assault, Forcible Confinement, Assault with a Weapon,
and Criminal Harassment.
Mr. Dieno’s varied work and life experiences help him
quickly establish client rapport and effective ongoing client
communications. He pays close attention to detail, utilizes
the latest technologies, and is a fierce defender of the rights
of those charged with a criminal offence. During the past
six years he has become an important member of the criminal
defence team at the law firm of McCullough Parsons Blazina.
Before becoming a criminal defence trial lawyer in 1998,
Mr. Dieno had several careers, from operating a City of Edmonton
Transit bus to zookeeping. In addition, he was a researcher
for the Asia Pacific Foundation in Vancouver, the British
Columbia Council for International Cooperation and the Ministry
of Health in Victoria. In 1991, Mr. Dieno also lived and worked
near Nagano, Japan for several months teaching English to
staff at a mountain resort.
Outside of the office in his spare time Mr. Dieno enjoys
kayaking on the coastal waters around Vancouver Island or
engaging in a friendly game of touch football.
